Grado

The city of Grado with its 8500 inhabitants is located on the eastern north coast of the Adriatic Sea in the region of Friuli-Venezia-Giulia. Take your dog away with you - self-catering holiday accommodation in Italy

By the sea, in the eastern part of the main beach of the city, there is the dog beach called "Il Lido di Fido", where dogs and their owners are allowed to enter the sea. The beach is open from April to September, usually between the hours of 8am and 7 pm. For a small fee, you will have use of a beach umbrella, deck chair, dog bed and bowl. On the beach there is dog shower and dog toilet.

Whilst holidaying with your dog in one of our holiday apartments or villas with pools in Italy, you can visit the other dog beach of the area known as "La Spiaggia di Snoopy" in Grado Pineta. The Snoopy Beach opens in May and is open daily from 9am to 7pm until the end of September. The beach is also subject to a charge, but you get beach umbrella, deck chair, lounger, dog bed, linen holder and bowl. There are dog showers, as well as a fenced dog playground, where dogs can run free.

The largest island of the lagoon is the island of Barbana. If you happen to be staying in one of our holiday homes in Italy on the first Sunday of July, then you will have the chance to watch the famous procession Perdòn de Barbana, when the Madonna from the Sanctuary of Sant'Eufemia is brought to the island on decorated boats.
