Bari – Rich in history
Under Frederick II, Bari experienced its heyday in the 13th century. Whilst staying at villas in Italy, you can take the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the Holy Roman Emperor and King, who spent 28 of his 39 years of rule in southern Italy. The monument in the green area of Giardini Isabella d'Aragona at Castello Svevo recalls this legacy, whilst the ‘Swabian Castle’ in the formerly Byzantine town centre, was rebuilt under Frederick II. Visit Bari during the Festa di San Nicola

Bari’s big event is the Festa di San Nicola from 7th to 9th of May. Each year, thousands gather at the tomb of St. Nicola, where there are parades, fireworks and performances.
