Our villas in Costa Rei are perfectly located to enjoy the idyllic Italian island of Sardinia. Known for long stretches of white sand and stunning turquoise views of the Mediterranean Ocean, Costa Rei offers the perfect southern European retreat. Costa Rei is known for its coral reefs and remote islands on which holiday-goers visit to enjoy various recreational facilities such snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfin and snorkeling. Our villas in Costa Rei are easily accessible - the town is located around forty five miles from Cagliari, the Sardinian capital, and twelve miles north-east of Villasimius. A new dual highway has made travel from those town's ariports more convenient, with options for stopover to enjoy the scenery.
Our villas in Costa Rei are also a great launching point for a tour or the island of Sardinia. Sardinia has a unique history well worth exploring on your family holidays in Italy. Amongst a host of appealing and enthralling historical attractions are the Nuraghe fortress, several local villages and fantastic temples and tombs, which are found in rural areas (e.g. near Brumini and Valle dei Nuraghe). Nuraghe was built by a people whose ancestors make up one of the biggest mysteries of the Mediterranean.
The majority of tourists flock to Costa Rei for its alluring natural attractions. Make sure to visit the Capo Ferrato, located between Muravera and Costa Rei. Originally used as a shelter from storms, the Capo Ferrato is now a popular destination for hikers, which is primarily attributed to the mountainous landscapes and coastal scenery. Close to the Capo Ferrato is the Colostral lagoon, where you can view stunning scenery in the company of a flock of strikingly pink flamingos.
A natural oasis of the most imposing kind, Capo Ferrato is located between Muravera and Costa Rei while also demarcating the border between the many beaches in the north and those situated in the south. It has been a shelter from storms since time the last signs of activity and is now an attraction for hikers which is largely attributed to the mystical coastal scenery and mountainous landscapes. Naturally, the coastal location acts as a great resource to the local community since fishing is their main source of income but in a less practical sense, the Colostrai lagoon also provides a stunning sight with the presence of some striking pink flamingo’s.
