There are a good number of amazing things to do in La Palma, especially if you are staying at Spanish holiday homes on the island for the first time. You could, for instance, visit the main town of Santa Cruz, where you can see a copy of Columbus's ship, the Santa María. The national park of Caldera de Taburiente, which is an extinct volcano (9km wide and over 700 metres deep!), is definitely also worth visiting with a mixture of beautiful guided walks to enjoy around the whole area. You could also just choose to laze on the lava beach in Los Cancajos, before dining alfresco at your chosen holiday rentals in Spain!
