The old town of Alcúdia
Visit the Great Wall that surrounds the old town of Alcúdia. It served to protect the area from intruders and pirates who tried to conquer the city. There are two large gates that lead through the wall into the city: Porta del Moll and Puerta de Mallorca. Inside you can visit the church of Sant Jaume, a beautiful Catholic church dating back to the 16th century. Lose yourself in the narrow streets and discover the historic houses and palaces that are still preserved in the old town. Founded in the second century BC, the Roman heritage is still visible. Here you can admire the wonderful Roman architecture, a fabulous amphitheatre and the streets lined with arches.
