There are lots of lovely bathing beaches in the immediate vicinity of Ebeltoft – the closest is the sandy beach by the bay, which bears the town’s name. Above all of the beaches in the area the Blue Flag flies to signal that the bathing water is clean. All of them deserve the description 'child-friendly' due to the shallow water that makes it safe for the tiniest holiday guests to splash and paddle at the water’s edge.
The old town is situated in the middle of a unique natural resort, and among others, the preserved scenic landscape of Mols Mountain is not far away. Other attractions worth mentioning in the town is the cosy ambiance of the local harbour, the many workshops of artists, the famous glass museums, the old town hall, the idyllic village nearby called Elsegaarde, including the area’s many castles and manor houses - Mollerup Manor and the ruins of Kalo Castle.
