One of these must-see attractions is the Museo Diocesano d'Arte Sacra, situated along one of Grosseto’s picturesque waterways. It shows, among other things, superbly preserved paintings from the Sienese school of the 13th-17th Century. Grosseto is also the birthplace of actress Elsa Martinelli, who was discovered as a model by Kirk Douglas and later turned to act with many Hollywood greats.
