As well as the famous Casas Cuevas caves, we would also highly recommend a visit to the chapel carved in the rock – the Virgen de la Cuevita and the atmospheric Iglesia de San Matias church. For a wonderful view, then head to the Mirador de Unamuno, or one of the other various mountain trails. Be sure to check out Roque Bentayga - a rock formation that marks the middle of the island, visit the best preserved forest areas of Tamadaba and Tirma, view the Caldera Pinos de Galdar crater and visit the nearby towns of Tejeda and Cruz de Tejeda.
