Lonstrup is a cosy little fishing village on the western coast of Northern Jutland. Out of season there are only a few hundred inhabitants living in the village. But when the bathing season approaches the town develops into an active and busy holiday town.

Apart from being a spectacular bathing town Lonstrup is known as the hometown of many artists. Here you find many galleries, studios and working workshops where painters, sculptors, potters and glassblowers display their works of art. You can also go to the sand drift museum near Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse from 1900. From the lighthouse there is a wonderful view of the sea and land – and you can read about how the lighthouse will presumably sand up within a number of years due to sand drifts.
