Up to 12 different species of fish have been recorded in the river, and there is a particularly good population of trout and grayling. There are also pike in some parts of the river.

You can also visit various attractions in the area, such as the Norwegian Forest Museum and Glomdalsmuseet with its activities in Elverum.
