For example, you can surf on the Amstelmeer, sail on the IJsselmeer three kilometres away and fish in the Wadden Sea (1 km). The North Sea coast is 25 kilometres away. Experience nature up close on a mudflat walk. The flower fields are well worth a visit in spring. Take other excursions to Aufsluitdijk and Amsterdam (approx. 45 minutes by car). Arrival not possible on Sundays. The surrounding area has many cycle paths to offer. Sport fishing in the Wadden Sea. The Viking Museum at the harbour in Den Oever is definitely worth a visit.
