Historic estate on red soil, animal-loving farm, idyllic almond tree villa, comfortable and sociable agroturismo accommodation: it is clear that these descriptions apply to the red farm Es Rafal Roig with its main house made of natural stone and three small outbuildings. There are a whopping 350,000 square metres of lush flowers and greenery to discover, with many details that will delight young and old alike. There are cosy corners surrounded by cacti, palm trees, fragrant oleander and countless planted terracotta pots, water from the farm's own deep well, solar energy and guinea pigs, donkeys, chickens, geese and tortoises living in their own territory. While the grown-ups relax by the 10 metre long, centrally located pool, the little ones can splash around in their own pool behind the stone wall, which you can keep a wonderful eye on from the sun loungers. Playgrounds with large and small slides, sandpits and equipment for all kinds of ball games ensure there's never a dull moment and you can also watch the farming. Chairs and tables are scattered everywhere in sunny and shady spots where guests can have a picnic or chat. The small barbecue hut, an original from the old days, can be used every day and shares the space with the outdoor toilet and shower.

Each unit has its own unique charm. The 48 m² ground floor flat Es Cestador owes its name to its original use, as this used to be the property's sheepfold. The living/dining room is incredibly cosy and you can also enjoy your privacy outside on the terrace. After the many hours of sunshine, it is easy to relax on the sofa and thanks to the thick walls of the building, the temperature inside is pleasant even at the height of summer. You can easily prepare a small meal on the four-burner gas hob in the integrated kitchenette. Two 1 x 2 m beds next to an antique chest of drawers invite you to spend cosy hours in the bedroom, which is not separated from the living room by a door. The daylight bathroom with shower is skilfully separated from the bedroom by a curtain. And if the living space of your private home is not enough for you, you should turn the entire property into your blossoming outdoor living, dining and playroom.

What would Mallorca be without the almond blossom in spring and the famous almond cake? Es Rafal Roig is the perfect place to experience both, perhaps the owners will bake some for you using their family recipe. But even outside the almendras season, there are plenty of opportunities to experience and taste the island's specialities and delicacies. By car (with the Ma-3322 near the villa) it is not far to reach Manacor's historic city centre, take a stroll through the pedestrian zone or the colourful market. From here you can also take a stress-free bus or train to Palma. On the other side, a good 15 kilometres away, the beaches await. Locals like Son Serra de Marina, the quietest place in the entire bay of Alcúdia. The almost two-kilometre-long sandy area in the direction of Colònia de Sant Pere offers enough sunny spots for everyone and favourable winds allow surfers to ride the waves gently. Hikers, on the other hand, can climb about 5 kilometres from Betlem to Ermita and enjoy the view of the sea.

Manacor, with its daily fruit and vegetable market, is only 9 km away. It is ideal for larger shopping trips, sightseeing tours and eating out. On the Badia dAlcúdia towards Son Serra de Marina and Colònia de Sant Pere you will find beautiful beaches and bathing areas, including some for the little ones.
