The area is family-friendly and has child-friendly beaches with calm waters. In nearby Haderslev you can walk through an old quarter, here dominates a cathedral. Also walk through the Dampark in the center. In the other town, Aabenraa, there are cozy stores along cobbled streets. Further south is Gråsten Castle, where the royal family gathers in summer. Even further south, you have Sønderborg, which is beautifully situated off the Flensburg Fjord. In the city there is a beautiful harbor with cafes and restaurants and a castle.
