Further inland on the peninsula you will encounter hilly beech forests and the disused Sostrup Castle monastery, tranquil lakes and abundant wildlife. The area around Gjerrild is not overcrowded and is easily accessible via disused railroad lines and small roads.
Also visit Mols Bjerge National Park in the southern part of the peninsula and experience the beautiful nature while hiking. Also go to Grenaa and visit the Kattegat Center and experience the city on the Kattegat.
