The beaches of Carratois, Santa Maria del Focallo, Pozzallo, Marina di Modica and Sampieri, which overlook the Mediterranean, are also about the same distance away.
You can sample typical Sicilian dairy products at the farms in the neighbourhood: Cheese, provola and fresh ricotta. You can also savour typical Sicilian dishes in the farmhouses and trattorias in Noto, Rosolini, Modica, Pachino and Portopalo di Capo Passero. Festivals and events are organised both in summer and winter, such as the Infiorata in Noto in May, the cinema festival in Marzamemi in July, the cherry tomato festival in Pachino in August, the fish festival in Pozzallo in August and the Arancino festival in August. Wine lovers can visit the cellars where Moscato di Noto and Nero D'Avola are produced.
